Boston, Museum of Fine Arts, March 16th 2024. For teens with Autism Spectrum and Aspergers Disorders ages 13 to 18. Focus on specific art topics and incorporate discussion, critical inquiry, and sketching in the galleries. Students then work independently on a project with guidance from an experienced instructor.
March Theme: Magnificent Metals. Embark on a captivating journey through metal embossing, exploring its rich history and artistic possibilities. Delve into the Museum of Fine Art’s remarkable metal collection, discovering diverse forms, textures, and techniques. Observe and analyze mesmerizing metal artworks, gaining deeper understanding and inspiration.
* After gallery tour, head back to the classroom to explore metal embossing. Unleash your creativity through guided instruction in embossing techniques, transforming flat metal sheets into three-dimensional masterpieces. Develop technical skills and appreciation for metals as an artistic medium.
