December 7th, in Wrentham. A speech-pathologist from Children's Hospital in Boston will discuss visuals, tools, software and strategies to assist in ASD language comprehension, expression and behavioral organization. See our front page for more information.
The ARICA Autism Insurance Law and Your Family:
Free, December 9th, in Needham. The new ARICA law requires health insurers in Massachusetts to provide coverage for Autism Spectrum Disorders. This workshop will be both an overview and training for parents to find out how to help their child. Details on the Front Page.
Sensory-Friendly Films - Methuen AMC Theater added :
Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of Dawn Treader. December 11th in Dartmouth, Framingham, Tyngsboro and now Methuen. Participating theaters provide families with autism and other disabilities an opportunity to enjoy films with the lights up, the sound turned down, and audience members allowed to dance, walk, shout or sing. Opinions about the Mass Rehab Commission Needed:
Earn a stipend while giving the MRC your anonymous feedback about your experiences with them. Discussion groups will be held December 13th, 15th and 20th in Boston, Worcester and Northampton. See our front page.
Free Transition Planning Conference:
