Transition Parent Support: Crisis Planning for Parents/ Box Up the Stress for Youth

PPAL parent transition groups familypeersupportWorcester, August 14th, 2019. This activity will be for parents/caregivers and youth.
“Box up the Stress” for the transition age youth
will be facilitated by a certified peer mentor. Youth will learn concrete strategies for managing stress.
“Crisis Planning” for parents/caregivers will help prepare them for those times when emergencies present themselves.
* Parents will leave with resources to help create a plan of their own.
* The Parent Professional Advocacy Network (PPAL) has Transition Age Youth parent-support group for those wanting to support their young adult ages 14 – 26 with a variety of mental health challenges.  Share your successes and challenges with raising a child with emotional and
behavioral health need. * Meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.
* Learn helpful tips and tools while creating a new support network.
* Join interactive conversations about the journey from adolescents to adulthood and the parent experience.
